Emmeline Stern, 103, Elgin, formerly of East Moline, died Friday, February 22, 2019 at Sunset Haven, Elgin. Private committal will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.

Emmeline was born July 6, 1915 on Washington Island, in Door County, WI, the daughter of Daniel and Emma (Hansen) Kilgore. She married William Stern on December 18, 1937 in Chicago. He died November 12, 2008. Emmeline was employed at Kemper Insurance, owned and operated a knitting shop and enjoyed painting and needlework.
