Enrique "Hank" Meza, 85, of Moline, passed away Friday, August 1, 2025.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline.

Hank was born on August 6, 1939, in San Diego, CA, the son of Jose and Antonia (Cordero) Meza.  He married Anna Herrera on October 7, 1967.  Hank was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Army.  He retired from Pacific Ship Repair in San Diego.  Hank enjoyed working in the yard and occasionally trying his luck at slot machines.

Hank is survived by his wife, Anna Meza, Moline; daughter, Christina (David) Sondej, East Moline; grandchildren, Audriana (Adam) Cady, Aaron and Andrew Sondej, Alisha Meza, and Avaona Christopher; great grandchildren, Isabella, Laila, Jeva, Jaxson, DJ, Davin, and Ava; sisters, Frances Castillo, San Diego, CA and Maggie (Tony) Mosqueda, South Gate, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews from California and the Quad Cities.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Meza; sister, Lupe (Abe) Gutierrez; and brother, Pete (Betty) Meza.
