Eric Wayne Lukens, 46, of Colona, passed away Friday October 10, 2025 at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, Illinois.

A gathering to celebrate Eric's life will be held at a later date. Van Hoe Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Eric was born on April 23, 1979 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Darrel and Sharon (Blackman) Lukens. He graduated United Township High School and later from the Wyoming Technical School.

Eric had been employed at X-Pac for several years, working in the dry coat painting Department and later as a supervisor.

The greatest enjoyment in Eric's life was his 3 daughter, Samantha, Laura and Jessica. He enjoyed playing video games, building computers and Monster Energy Drinks.

Survivors include his daughters, Samantha Lukens, Laura Lukens, Jessica Lukens; parents, Darrel and Sharon Lukens; several aunts, uncles and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Marie Blackman and

Yamon and Beulah Lukens.
