Funeral services for Erlinda R. Belman, 88, of Silvis, IL, will be 10:30AM Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, IL. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 2:00-7:00PM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30PM. Mrs. Belman died Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, where she had been a member. Erlinda Valle was born August 9, 1921 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Luz and Delfina Martinez Valle. She married Louis H. Belman July 27, 1941 at the original Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. He died June 21, 2009. She had been a member of the VFW Post 8890 Ladies Auxiliary and Our Lady of Guadalupe Altar and Rosary Society. Mrs. Belman loved to work in her flower garden and watch the birds. She was an avid Chicago Cubs Fan. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was always there for her family. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Cecelia Belman of Silvis, Rose Ann and Francisco Pena of Silvis, Linda Foley of Davenport, IA, Karen and Carlos Martel of Albuquerque, NM, Teresa and Jim Pearce of Cordova, IL, Sharon and Roger Remour of Hillsdale, IL, Audrey and Jay Ross of Aurora, IL, Felicia and Gary Carlson of Lynn Center, IL, Richard Belman of Bakersfield, CA, Arthur and Vickie Belman of East Moline, IL, and Michael Belman of Silvis, IL; 28 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Beatrice and Lupe Cruz of Silvis, Caroline Montez of Moline. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Louis J. Belman, sisters, Felisa Valle, Lucy Aldape, Victoria Zaragoza, Antonia Herrera, Urbana Chavez, brothers, Eli Valle, Joe Valle, Max Valle, Gonzalo Valle, and Frank Valle.
