Funeral services for Erma John-Setser, 78, Colona, formerly of East Moline, are 10 AM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 5-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Setser died Sunday, March 27, 2005 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. Erma John was born November 16, 1926 in Macomb, IL the daughter of Howard and Bessie (Friday) John. She married Lawrence Setser Sr., November 3, 1945 in Macomb. He died January 13, 1970. Erma loved her family and enjoyed caring for her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her children and spouses Lawrence (Jill) Setser Jr., Moline, Vickie Wilson-Setser, East Moline, Kathy (Ron) Stephens, Colona, Pamela (Bill) Berthoud, East Moline, Patricia Castillo, Rock Island, Michael (Cindy) Setser, Silvis, Ricky Setser, Colona, Laura (David) Lessard, Moline and Jeffery (Mindy) Setser, Matherville. Twenty eight grandchildren of whom Gary Setser Jr. and Hope Setser she raised since they were young, 39 great grandchildren and a great-great grandson, sister Lucinda John, Carthage, and brothers Howard Eugene John, and Charles John, both of Macomb.
