Funeral services for Ernest Kelly, 86, Moline, are 10 AM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Ernest died Friday, June 24, 2011 at his home. He was born April 13, 1925 in Sciota, IL, the son of Oscar and Eula (Steele) Kelly. He married Dixie Sedgwick on January 18, 1958 in Rock Island. Ernie had worked 20 years at McLaughlin Body Co., Moline. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Dixie, children; Ervin Kelly, June Kelly, Theresa Kelly, David (Donna) Kelly, all of Moline and Sandie (Jim) Southerland, Davenport, thirteen grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, a sister Olive Morris, Macomb, IL and brother Donald Kelly, Colechester, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Wayne, Melvin and Herold and sisters; Eleanor and Vera.
