Funeral services for Esperanza Jiménez R., 79, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM Tuesday November 19, 2024, where a rosary will be recited at 3:00 PM. Mrs. Jiménez passed away Wednesday November 13, 2024, at Genesis Silvis.

Esperanza Jiménez R. was born April 8, 1945, in Morelos, Coahuila, México, the daughter of Gumesindo and Encarnación De La Cruz Ramírez.

She married José Luis "Eloy" Jiménez on January 2, 1965, in México.

Survivors include her husband, Eloy; children, Luis (Silvia) Jiménez, San Antonio, TX, Carlos (Mayra) Jiménez, Rock Island, Jeannette (Osvaldo) Montiel, México, and Marisa Jiménez (Jose Martínez), Chicago, IL; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and sister, Guadalupe Santiago, Dallas, TX.

She was preceded by her parents; her son, Gerardo Jiménez; and 8 siblings.
