Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, IL.

Mrs. Johnson-Bert died Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis.

Esther Heck was born June 30, 1922, in Perryville, MO, the daughter of Willam and Zita (Thomure) Heck. She married Leroy Bert November 17, 1945, in Perryville. He died February 12, 1964. She later married Frank Johnson January 7, 1967, in Rock Island, IL. He died March 1, 1999. She retired from the Deere Administration in 1984, after 30 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and traveling. She had been an active member at the YMCA where she loved to swim. Her true passion was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, David (Kathy) Bert, Davenport, IA, and Suzanne (Steve) Hunter, Cedar Rapids, IA; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; and sisters, Irma Ferguson, Reva Feltz, and Dorothy Gibbons.
