Funeral services for Esther F. Youngblood, 82, of Moline, IL, will be 9:30 am Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Youngblood died Monday July 3, 2017, at her home. Esther Harness was born June 3, 1935, in Protem, Mo, the daughter of Richard and Hazel Ragsdale Harness Sr. She married Ray E. Youngblood May 27, 1955, at Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island, IL. She worked in retail for over 20 years. Esther loved being with her friends and family. She enjoyed being outdoors and working in her flower garden. In her earlier years she had been an active member of Edgewood Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Ray Youngblood, Moline; children, Ken (Deb) Youngblood, Milan, IL, Don (Sandy) Youngblood, Rock Island, and Cathy Youngblood (Mark Maze), Rock Island; grandchildren, Nathan (Kathleen) Youngblood, Nick (Laura) Youngblood, Sarah (Eddie) Shamblin, Anna (Jay Beckman) Youngblood, Megan Saller, and Dalton Saller; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Richard Harness Jr., Moline. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, James David Youngblood, siblings, Jessie Harkins, Ron, Jack and Gene Harness In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church.
