Ethel G. Danneels, 99, East Moline, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis. Funeral services are 11 AM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Ethel Summers was born December 16, 1912 in Moline, the daughter of Ora and Elizabeth (Hintz) Summers. She married Marcel "Curly" Danneels on April 1, 1943 in Kahoka, MO. He died April 25, 1983. Ethel enjoyed working in her flower garden and loved the many pets she cared for through her lifetime. Survivors include her children (spouses), Frank (Karen) Pouder, East Moline, Rick (Annie) Danneels, Colona, Mary Lou Von Motz, Rock Island, and Bonnie Kay Engels, Moline, grandchildren Robert Alfrey, Terry Alfrey, Gwen Alfrey, Pam Michaels, Mary Riley and Susan Mowder and seventeen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, brother Earl Summers, sister Virginia Powell and her son Earl Pouder.
