Ethel L Hulsbrink 96, a resident of Amber Ridge, Moline, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice, Bettendorf. Funeral service are 10 AM Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation is 4-7 Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30 PM. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she was a member. Ethel Odendahl was born August 26, 1920 in East Moline, the daughter of Louis and Anna (Wheiland) Odendahl. She married Kenneth Hulsbrink on October 21, 1940 in East Moline. He died January 8, 2007. Ethel retired from Ametek, East Moline. Ethel and her husband loved traveling and camping up north. She remained active, working outdoors, bowling and golfing well into her late 80's, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting and reading, doing puzzles and playing cards. Survivors include her children, Karyl Welker, Moline, Catherine (John) Booth, St. Croix, VI, Susan Keller, Alpine, CA, and Bart (Muriel) Hulsbrink, Ft. Collins, CO, grandchildren, Kirk (Jeanine) Mital, Kristie Holsclaw, Jon (Lori) Booth, Lorien (Jean) Picou, Christopher (Kelly) Booth, and Eloise Hulsbrink, and great grandchildren, Samantha Mital, Alexis Mital, Natalie Booth and Sophie Picou. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Isabel Odendahl, Harold Odendahl, Leola Rossmiller and George Odendahl.
