Funeral services for Ethel L. Kinney, 94, of Colona, IL, will be 2:00PM Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home on Saturday. Mrs. Kinney died Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Aspen Health Care Center, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Ethel Davis was born May 16, 1917 in DeSoto, WI, the daughter of James H. and Eva M. Ryan Davis. She married Charles W. Kinney Sr. January 23, 1937 in Decatur, IL. He died August 7, 2003. She had been a loving homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Henderson, Silvis; sons; Herb (Carolyn) Kinney, of Meridian, ID, Charles W. (Marilyn) Kinney Jr. of Moline, Dale Kinney of Moline, Gary (Elva) Kinney of Pekin, IL, Jerry (Penny) Kinney of East Moline, twenty two grandchildren, forty one great grandchildren, and ten great great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley (Russ) Rule of Peoria and Rosella (Herb) Rule of Peoria. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Joyce, and great grandson, Robert Gentry Crosswhite. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their excellent care.
