Funeral services for Eugene A. "Geno" Kelley, 57, Rock Island, are 10 AM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct military honors. Visitation is 4-7 PM Wednesday (Today) at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established. Geno died July 2, 2005 at his home. He was born March 13, 1948 in Moline, the son of Edward and Tillie (Gohn) Kelley. He married Sharon Oller, February 26, 1972 in Silvis. He had worked at John Deere Foundry, East Moline. He served in the US Navy from 1966 until 1972. He is survived by children and spouses Bridget and Brad Neff, Moline, Amanda Kratzberg, Silvis, and Jerry and Tina Kelley, Melbourne, FL, grandchildren Briley, Alexis, Danny and Drew, sisters Iona Heller, Moline, Betty Quist, Rock Island, Bea Garcia, Pangburn, AR, Lana (Grady) Guyton, Colona, brothers Edward (Helen) Kelley, Hawkins, WI, Gary (Donna) Kelley, Colona, Dennis (Betty) Kelley, Colona, Darryl Kelley, Iowa, and Keith Kelley and a host of good friends at his hangout the Polish Pub. His parents and a sister Donna Rosenow precede him in death.
