Eugene "Gene" Rowe Jr., 53, of Coal Valley, IL, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at his home. Private graveside services will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery. Gene was born September 10, 1961, in Terre Haute, IN, the son of Eugene and Margaret Lambert Rowe Sr. . He served in the U.S. Navy. He married Deborah "Deb" McLuaghlin September 13, 2007, in Moline, IL. He was currently working as a computer technician for IBM. Gene couldn't wait for "football Sundays" and watch the Indianapolis Colts. Survivors include his wife, Deb Rowe, Coal Valley; his mother, Margaret Deckard, Terre Haute; brothers, Jeff Rowe, Terre Haute, Kevin Rowe, Indianapolis, IN, and Brian (Amy) Rowe, Apopka, FL; "adopted daughter" (caretaker) Kaylyn Powers. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and father. Memorials may be made to the family.
