Eva Theuninck, 87, East Moline, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, with her son and daughter at her side. Funeral services are 10 AM Monday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation is 2-5 PM Sunday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a prayer service will be read at 1:30 PM. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church, where she was a member. Eva Lulich was born the second to the last of 13 children born to Thomas and Helen (Baricevich) Lulich. She married Joseph Theuninck on May 22, 1948 at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. He died October 20, 1997. Eva had been a caregiver to several of her brothers and sisters. Eva was a member of the Croatian Crest Club, Moline and fried fish there on Friday nights. She worked as an interpreter for the Croatians in the Moline School district and worked the front desk at Willow Springs, East Moline. Eva was very proud of her Croatian Heritage. She enjoyed her daily walks and swimming at the "Y". Eva was an inspiration to many to exercise. She loved people and they loved her, everywhere she went, she would run into someone she knew. One of her greatest joys was playing with her great grandchildren, which earned her the name "Silly Grandma". Eva also enjoyed visiting the local casinos. Survivors include her children, Rick Theuninck and Judy (Jay) Leppo, grandchildren, Joe Leppo, Cammy (Ryan) Hennis and Dr. Rick (Sonya) Leppo, and great-grandchildren, "Little" Eva, Lillian Hennis and Mira Leppo. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and twelve brothers and sisters.
