Funeral services for Evan Jacob Martin, 31, of East Moline, IL, will be 1:00 pm Friday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00–7:00pm Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:00 pm. Mr. Martin died Saturday, March 2, 2019, at UnityPoint, Rock Island, IL. Evan was born May 11, 1987, in Silvis IL, the son of Albert and Bertha Alicia Alejo Martin Jr. He worked for Customer Contact Solutions, Davenport, IA. Evan's passion in life was drumming. He played with the Silver Cliffs and other local bands throughout the Quad City area. He had a gentle spirit and will be missed by his family and friends. May he rest in peace. Survivors include his mother, Bertha Alicia Martin, East Moline; siblings, Lisa (Todd) Leisek, Tallahasee, FL, Brother Gabriel María Martin, Laredo, TX, and Karina Martin (fiancé, Evan Brankin, Davenport), East Moline; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a nephew.
