Funeral services for Evangeline Moffatt, 70, of Davenport formerly of Waterloo, IA, are 1PM Tuesday February 23, 2010 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Waterloo, IA. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be made to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, East Moline or to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, Chicago. Evangeline died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, IA. Eva was born March 12, 1939 in Samos Greece, the daughter of George and Paraskevi (Theodorolou) Zervas. She married Brian Moffatt on September 11, 1995 in Waterloo. Eva was a fantastic cook and a very devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very intelligent woman who was strong willed, had a generous spirit and a strong faith in God. Survivors include her husband Brian, daughters; Barbara Paraskevi (Marcus) Couch, Laguna Beach, CA, Polytime Ellenie (Paul) Cusmano, Waterloo and Alexandra Sandra Huting, Davenport, grandchildren; Michael Evangelos Karfaridis, Nicholas James Hibben and Serena Sophia Frenning, sisters Eleftheria, Katerina, and Mitsa, a brother Demetrios Zervas all of Greece and a cousin Emanuel Kokinos of Jesup, IA.
