Evelyn B. Fain Griffith died at 92 years old on December 1, 2009 at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster, Maryland. She was the daughter of Nellie C. Burkett Fain and Charles Fain. She was born 15 Nov, 1917 at Casey, Illinois, in Clark County. Services will be 10 AM Saturday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Visitation is 4-7PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, Moline. She was a registered nurse and worked in area hospitals before going to work for Deere Spreader and Foundry. She retired after 29 years with them. She was a former member of First Christian Church and had served as deaconess and was a member of Christian Women's Fellowship. She is survived by a son Forrest L. Griffith Sr of Westminster, two grandsons Forrest L. Griffith, Jr. and Jeremy L. Griffith and three great grandchildren of Baltimore. Two living sisters are Linda Bornhoeft of East Moline and Francis Fain of Plymouth, Illinois and many cousins in Clark County, Illinois. She is preceded in death by her husband, Forrest E. Griffith, her Mother and Father and a sister Nola Endsley and two brothers, Earl and John Fain.
