Funeral services for Florence F. Crouch, 86, Carbon Cliff, are 9 AM Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-8 PM Sunday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 4 PM. Mrs. Crouch died Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, where she was a member. Florence Holtschlag was born August 29, 1919 in Quincy, IL, the daughter of Frank and Mary Sophie (Waterman) Holtschlag. She married Jesse V. Crouch , February 26, 1938 in Hannibal, MO. She and her husband ran the family farm since 1945. Jesse died October 27, 2001. Florence loved her family, especially babies. She enjoyed entertaining, cooking, working in her flower garden, watching birds and wildlife and EWTN. She was a member of the Barstow Fire Auxilliary and past president and life member of the Carbon Cliff PTA. She had served as a Den Mother and was a member of the Carbon Cliff Birthday Bunch. Survivors include children and spouses; Mary and DuWayne Krier, Bettendorf, Myrtle and David Ross, Moline, Betty and Gary Frantz, Erie, Bonnie and Emil VanHoutte, Coal Valley, Sherry and Michael Johnson, Port Byron, Jesse J. and Cheryl Crouch, Geneseo, James and Terry Crouch, Cambridge, and Rick and Terry Crouch, Davenport, twenty-six grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, sister Pat Proctor, Wayzata, MN and brother Robert Holtschlag, Quincy and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, granddaughter Terry Frantz, grandson Jesse Lee Crouch and brothers Clarence, Walter, Fred and Ralph "Mike" Holtschlag precede her in death.
