Funeral services for Florence E. Jackson, 90, East Moline, are 10 AM Thursday at 1st Baptist Church, Silvis. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7PM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd, East Moline. Memorials may be made to 1st Baptist Church, where she was a member. Florence passed away, Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley. Florence was born January 27, 1918 in East Moline, the daughter of William and Alma (Jackson) Wilson. She received her masters in Primary Education and taught for over 38 years, retiring in 1978 from the Silvis School District. Following retirement she taught at East Moline Christian School for 2 additional years. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Virginia and Mike Holloman, East Moline, grandchildren; Laurel Carlson, Edelstein, IL, Michelle Boudreau, East Moline, Bryan Holloman, DeSota, KS, Bradley Holloman, Hanover Park, IL and Ross Jackson, Rock Island, thirteen great grandchildren and a brother Charles Wilson, Richmond, CA.
