Floy E. Hull, 102, East Moline, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017 in East Moline. A memorial visitation will be Friday from 4 – 7 PM at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Floy Montieth was born May 14, 1915 in Wessington Springs, SD, the daughter of Harry and Almina (Padgett) Montieth. She married Laverne Severns in 1940, married Herman L. Batson in 1950 and Maurice Hull in 1965, all of whom preceded her in death. She had taught in a one room schoolhouse in South Dakota before moving to the Quad Cities, She worked at International Harvestor during World War II and then was a nursing supervisor at the former Rock Island County Convalescent Center. She had many other jobs and interests through the years and was very active at the Senior Center in East Moline. Survivors include daughters, Judith (Wayne) Allen, Atkinson and Connie (Tony) Cavitt, Boaz, AL; grandchildren, Bruce (Leigh) Anderson, Patricia (Steven) Voycheske, Douglas (Michelle) Anderson, Christine (Dennis) Anderson and Mark Eagles, eleven great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and siblings, Reva Greeno, Verna Ford and Viola Montieth. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.vanhoe.com.
