Funeral services for Frances M. Hajny, 84, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:30 AM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs Hajny died Monday, December 19, 2011 in Norwood, MO. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, East Moline or the Ashley Cowboy Chruch, Macomb, MO where she had been a member. Frances Hill was was born August 29, 1927 in Cuero, TX, the daughter of Arthur and Lula Tucker Hill. She married Loyd R. Hughes in January of 1946. She later married Donald Hajny Sept 10, 1957 in Oklahoma. She had worked as a diamondtologist at Helzberg Diamond, Moline. She loved life and all the adventures that it presented. Survivors include her daughter, Lyndy (Roger) Morgan of Norwood, MO; sons, SGM (Ret) Loyd R. (Cindy) Hughes of Clemens, NC, SMSgt (Ret) Gerald (Kathy) Hajny of Palm Harbor, FL, John Hajny, Milan, and Dave (Debbi) Hajny of East Moline; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, LtCol (Ret) Hans Petermann, San Diego, CA.
