Funeral services for Frances L. Ruiz, 85, of Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, IL, will be 1:30 PM Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 3:00-7:00PM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30PM. Mrs. Ruiz died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Trinity Rock Island, surrounded by loved ones. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family. Frances Montecino was born October 22, 1927 in Mason City, IA, the daughter of Steven and Leonarda Baltierra Montecino. She married Enrique Ruiz. She retired from Cresent Cleaners, Davenport, IA, in 1989 after more than 20 years of service. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She devoted her life to God and her family. Survivors include her daughters, Chris (Antonio) Rasso, Silvis, Mona Ruiz, Rock Island, and Jessie (Rick) De Anda, Rock Island; sons, Steve Montecino, AL, Stephen Ruiz, Moline, IL, Henry Ruiz, Rock Island, Anthony Ruiz, Moline; 18 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Anna Montecino, East Moline; several nieces and nephews.
