Funeral services for Frances Ernestine Williams, 84, of Rock Island, IL, will be 10:00 AM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 2-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Williams died Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island. Frances Underwood was born September 20, 1923 in McConnel, TN, the daughter of Ernest and Mary (Ball) Underwood. She married Albert R. Roach June 3, 1939. She later married William "Arnol" Williams December 24, 1968. He died April 22, 2005. Mrs. Williams was family and friend to all. She never met a stranger. She had a special love for the many children that she babysat throughout the years. Survivors include: daughters and son-in-law, Sandra Nelson of Port Byron, IL, Judy and Dan Anderson of Pleasant Lake, MI; sons, Glynn Roach of Silvis, IL, Glynn Roach Jr. of Moline, IL; step daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Les Buell of Mariett, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Charlotte Underwood of East Moline; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arnol, brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Alma Underwood, sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Tobie McDanel.
