Frank was born March 10, 1932 in The Netherlands, the third of 4 boys born to Willem Jozef Huijten and Johanna Eichelmann. After a tragedy, the boys were raised by Maria Eichelmann.

At age 24 with wife and child, he and two of his brothers made a very bold move, with families in tow, they immigrated to the promised land, thousands of miles away from everything they knew for a better future for their families in the United States of America, arriving in 1956. The hard-working trio were determined to stay together and quickly found success and established roots for the Huyten clan in their new land.

Frank enjoyed ice skating, bicycling, camping, hiking, dancing, traveling, bowling, and spending time with his close-knit family. Frank loved walking at Southpark Mall, striking up conversations with all the shopkeepers in every store. Frank was a devout Catholic and a staunch supporter of his parish. He began working at International Harvester as a press operator and quickly progressed into management. He continued his career at Corning Fiberglass Insulation as a shipping and receiving manager. Even after retirement he continued to work in the retail industry enjoying conversation with everyone he met, and there was no one he could not strike up a conversation with.

Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and mentor. He leaves behind son, William Huyten; grandsons, Austin Huyten and Cory Woods; niece, Leslie Preiser; great niece, Liberty Powell; and the entire Huyten clan in the USA and the Netherlands.
