Funeral services for Freddie C. Wiklund, 95, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be 9:00-10:30 AM Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mr. Wiklund died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Heartland Health Care, Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to Heartland Health Care Activity Fund. Mr. Wiklund was born May 17, 1913 in Moline, the son of Oscar and Rose (Zieglar) Wiklund. He married Margaret Van Oteghen August 31, 1940 in East Moline. She died November 11, 1998. He had worked for the former John Deere Spreader Works and retired from John Deere Harvester Works East Moline, in 1971 after 30 years of service. He had been a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Ginny Wiklund of Hayward, WI; grandsons (spouse), Eric Wiklund of Hampton, IA, Peter (Tina) Wiklund of Davenport, IA; great grandchildren, Laura, Elijah, and Sophie.
