Funeral services for Frieda E. VandeVoort, 101, Moline, are 12 Noon Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, with the Rev. Stacie Fidlar officiating. Private committal will be at a later date at Roselawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services. Frieda died Friday, April 30, 2010 at Heartland Health Care, Moline. Memorials may be made to the Association of Retarded Citizens of Rock Island County. Frieda Clifton was born December 18, 1908 in Sleeper, MO, the oldest of 10 children to Fred and Mabel (Myers) Clifton. She married Philbert VandeVoort on April 29, 1934 in Oneida, IL. He died November 4, 1989. Frieda was a devoted wife and mother. Survivors include her daughter Marian VandeVoort, Moline a son and daughter-in-law Robert and Sally VandeVoort, Moline, eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, a sister Mary Hazel McKenzie, Moline and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband and a daughter Joanne Macaig.
