Gary A. Anderson, 72, Moline, died Friday, August 31, 2012 at Trinity Rock Island. Funeral services are 10AM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, were the VVA will conduct military honors. Visitation is 4-7PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Breast Cancer Research. Gary was born January 9, 1940 in Clarinda, IA, the son of Clyde and Daniela (Beezley) Anderson. He married Julia Cochuyt on September 1, 1984 in Moline. He retired after 30 years as a welder with Williams-White, Moline. He also owned and operated Gary Anderson Construction Company. Gary proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VVA, the American Legion, enjoyed fishing and gardening and was a fantastic cook and baker. Survivors include his wife Julia, children, Bruce (Leigh Anderson) Anderson, Fredricksburg, VA, Patricia (Steve) Voycheske, Satellite Beach, Florida and Douglas Anderson, Frederick, Maryland, grandchildren Kyle, Samuel, Dayna, and Kristina a sister Phyllis (Leonard) Suhr, Coal Valley and brother Danny (Judy) Anderson, Michigan.
