Gary T. Damm, 70, East Moline, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Funeral services are 10 AM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct Military Honors. Visitation is 4-7PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation. Gary was born on July 25, 1944 in St. Charles, MO, the son of Harold and Grace (Arnold) Damm. He married Joyce Frank on April 27, 1963 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. Gary managed the Meat Department for the former Eagle Foods. After retirement he became a business agent for the UFCW local 431, retiring in 2007. He served 2 years in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Gary was an avid Cardinal's Fan. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially "his little buddy" Bryan. Survivors include his wife and best friend, Joyce, daughter Kristen (Joe) Lohf, Davenport, grandchildren, Bryan and Grace, and siblings, Ray (Marilyn) Damm, Silvis, Jean (Ken) Haynie, Silvis, Ruthann Welch, East Moline, Kay Chase, Moline, Neal (Barb) Damm, Davenport and Tim (Sandy) Damm, East Moline.
