Gary L. Lundeen, 61, of East Moline, IL, died Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers and gifts, a memorial fund has been established to benefit the East Moline Soccer Program. Gary was born December 11, 1948 in Moline, IL, the son of Bazil and Verla Simler Lundeen. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He married Mary Bullock January 16, 1982 in Las Vegas, NV. He had been a member of the Carpenters and Lathers Union Local 166, Rock Island, IL. He had worked for Pharis Kelly, Builders Construction, and Allied Construction. He later started Truss Plus Inc with his brother Bruce. His passion had been coaching girls sports and enriching the lives of children. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lundeen of East Moline; daughters, Sara (Erik) Jurgens, of Yorkville, IL, Lori Lundeen of Cocoa, FL, and Kelly Lundeen of East Moline; grandchildren, Aiden, Ethan, Victoria, Elizabeth, Olivia, Rebecca, Tyler, Jessica, and Samantha; sisters, Betty Lindsey of East Moline, Dolores Remsen of Sparks, NV, Edith (Dick) Neybert of NC; brothers, Albert Lundeen of East Moline, George (Ellen) Lundeen of East Moline, Bruce (Donna) Lundeen East Moline.
