Funeral services for Genevie Emery, 86, of Moline, IL, will be 6:00 pm Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be 10:00 am Saturday, at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Emery died Monday, October 3, 2016, at her home. Genevie Parsano was born May 30, 1930 in Littleton, IL, the daughter of Harley Brine and Ada Esther Chockley Parsano. She married Cecil Emery October 19, 1955, in Rock Island, IL. He died March 13, 1995. Genevie had worked as a house cleaner over the years and lately had worked at the nursery at Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church Moline. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She loved taking care of babies and children. Survivors include her children, Mildred (John) Palm, North Charleston, SC, Barb (Robert) Stallings, Sherrard, IL, and Junior Cecil Emery, Moline; 4 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; brother, Ted Parsano, Rushville, IL; sister-in-law, Pauline Parsano, Rushville; brothers-in-law, Swede Anderson, Washington, IL, and Charles Young, Rushville . She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant sister, Betty Lou Parsano, sisters, Ida Mae Anderson, Francis Young, brothers, George and Parsey Parsano.
