Funeral services for George "Pat" Higham, 66, of East Moline, IL, will be noon Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4-7 pm Monday at the funeral home.

Pat died Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Genesis, Silvis.

Pat was born February 26, 1953, in Monmouth, IL, the middle child of 5 born to George and Geraldine Hunter Higham, Jr. He married Pamela Thompson April 22, 1977, in East Moline. He worked at the former John Deere Foundry East Moline, and retired from John Deere Seeding, Moline, in 1999, after 30 years of service.

Pat was the best partner in crime and accomplice any daughter could ask for! His grandkids were his pride and joy, and he was the greatest "Boppa" a kid could have. He never missed a function or event that they were in – ever! Pat was a great friend to everyone he knew. He cherished his friendship with Jeff that spanned over 50 years and the distance to Alaska, and truly enjoyed his breakfast get-togethers with his buddies Dan and Jerry (especially when it was their turn to buy). Pat was always a helping hand to anyone in need – just a general good guy. You could always tell when something amused him by his grin and the twinkle in his eye.

Survivors include his loving wife, Pamela Higham, East Moline; dearly loved daughter, Cara (Kirk) Marske, Moline; much loved grandchildren, Natalie, Connor, and Alden; mother, Geraldine Higham, East Moline; special nieces and nephews, Shelly Muller (Dave Kinney), Mike (Andrea) Muller, Kevin Higham, and Chris Higham and their families among other nieces and nephews; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ty (Jim) Muller and some great cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother and mother- and father-in-law.
