Funeral services for Gerald E. Padget, 85, Colona, are 10 AM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct Military Honors. Visitation is 4-7PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Mr. Padget died Saturday, July 28, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. He was born August 31, 1921 in Shelbina, MO, the son of Herbert and Fay (Monteith) Padget. He served in the US Army during WWII. He married Pansy Flowers in 1946 in Maryland. She died August 6, 2001. Gerald retired as a tool and die maker from the former International Harvester Works, East Moline. Survivors include daughter and her husband Norma and Richard Brooks, Kingman, AZ, five grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a sister Ola Duncan, Moline.
