Gerald "Jerry" "Sarge" Sergeant passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024, peacefully at home with his children by his side

Per his wishes there will be no services, cremation rights will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Jerry was born May 9, 1942, in Moline, IL, the son of Roger and Gertrude Wendell Sergeant. He married Carol Reynolds, July 18, 1964, in Galesburg, IL. She passed away March 18, 2022.

He retired from John Deere Harvester, East Moline, in January of 2000, after nearly 40 years of service.

Jerry was very talented and had a strong passion for racing motorcycles, Harley Davidson motorcycles, woodworking, golfing and gardening.

Survivors include his children, Connie (Bruce) and Mickey (Diana); grandchildren, Ryan Rafferty, Erin (Derrick ) Cullison, Brooke (Devon) McCormick, Brandt (Chelsea) Schultz, Anaya and Sarah Sergeant;  great grand children Paisley, Lincoln, Wesley, Grace, Lainey, and Terry; and siblings, Sharon Koos, and Jeff (Susie) Sergeant.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brother-in-law, Peter Koos.

We would like to thank our family and his dear friends for all their support and Unity Point Hospice for being "Angels on earth" helping Jerry and his kids during his time of sickness.
