Funeral services for Geraldine DePaola, 99, of Carbon Cliff, IL, will be 11:00 am Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4-6 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs DePaola died Saturday January 12, 2019.

Geraldine Walker was born December 22, 1919, in Winchester, IL, the daughter of John and Alta Scranton Walker. She married Ben Raymond. She later married George DePaola July 31, 1997. She retired after 18 years of service from International Harvester, East Moline. Geraldine enjoyed crocheting, crafting centerpieces, preparing meals for others, especially for the members of the Edwards River Antique Engine Association. She loved going with George to yard sales and flea markets. She participated in activities at the Free Will Baptist Church, Colona and Riverview Baptist Church, Bettendorf, IA.

Survivors include her husband, George; stepchildren, Ronald (Marilyn) Raymond, Rock Island, IL, and Phylis Beecher, East Moline; step grandchildren, Anne Holton, Amy Zdamsky, Allissa Olivia, and Kimberley Ziegler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepson, Donald Raymond, and siblings.

Memorials may be made to the Autism Society of the Quad Cities.
