Funeral services for Geraldine "Geri" M. Heitz, 86, of Rock Island, formerly of East Moline, IL, will be 11 AM Monday April 1, 2024, at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Mrs. Heitz passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Silver Cross, Rock Island.

Geri was born September 14, 1937, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Leroy and Virginia Warren McMahon. She married Raymond T. Heitz Jr. July 19, 1958, in Nashua, IA. He passed away March 23, 2002.

Geri was a beautician and operated a salon in her home from 1956-2016. She was saved and was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church, East Moline since 1994.

She was a child of God, a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Ted (Brenda) Heitz III, Muscatine, IA, Kim (John) Kermeen, Nashville, TN, and Todd (Connie) Heitz, Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Elicia (Mike) Bartoo, Ted (Kim) Heitz IV, Clint (Amanda) Heitz, Kellsi (Colby) Frye, Kasey Kermeen, Amanda (Rustin) Rawlings, and Lynnsie Heitz; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Lee (Leora) McMahon, East Moline, Jeff (Sue) McMahon, Moline, IL, and Roger McMahon, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, John McMahon.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the Wildwood Baptist Church Building Fund.
