Gladys L. Kaufman, 91, formerly of East Moline, IL, died Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at Toulon Health Care, Toulon, IL. Funeral services are 10 AM Saturday at Gospel Assembly, Moline. Burial is in Hampton Township Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7PM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Memorials may be made to Gospel Assembly Church, where she was a member. Gladys was born February 22, 1922 in Bloomington, IL, the daughter of Henry and Lena (Heyn) Rettke. She married Stewart Kaufman on July 10, 1940 in Missouri. He died in 1982. Gladys enjoyed crocheting and gardening. Survivors include sons, Marion (Catherine) Kaufman, Port Byron, Ronald (Emma) Kaufman, Waterloo, IL, grandchildren, Mark, Rebecca, Angela, Heather and Todd, seventeen great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law Cleta Kaufman, Coal Valley. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, son Delmar, granddaughter Faye and 7 brothers and sisters.
