Gladys V. Sanders, 94, formerly of Moline, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Hope Creek, East Moline. Funeral services are 11 AM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home. The funeral will also be live-streamed by logging into http://www.facebook.com/vanhoefuneralhome. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.

Gladys was born on February 6, 1927 in Marblehead, IL, the daughter of John and Martha (Goodwin) Benjamin. She married Vernon Austin and together they had 2 children. She married Raymond Sanders in 1982. He died in 2007. Gladys dearly loved her family, especially the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing, flowers and had a love for animals.

Survivors include her daughter Martie (Steve) Vacek, East Moline, son-in-law, Terry Eager, Shinook, WA, daughter-in-law Terry Austin, Moline, stepchildren, Dick (Joan) Sanders, Sherrard, IL, Deb (Mike) Winckler, Pekin, IL and Ginger (Jerry), Nelson, Davenport, step daughter-in-law, Gloria Sanders, Romeoville, IL, eighteen grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, daughter Kathy Eager, son Russell Austin, stepchildren, Mike Sanders and Jacqie Reed and eleven brothers and sisters.
