Funeral services for Glenn L. Bear, 77, Moline, are 10 AM Thursday at Elim Covenant Church, Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Glenn died Sunday January 28, 2007 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA. Glenn was born June 21, 1929 in Sullivan County, MO, the son of Charles and Nellie (Cox) Bear. He married Helen Virginia Irelan on April 3, 1948 in Kirksville, MO. Glenn last worked as a welder and in Sales at Unit Step, Carbon Cliff. He was an avid reader and loved being with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, sons and daughters-in-law Glenn J. and Cathy Bear, Colona, Ron Bear, Davenport, and Martin and Cheryl Bear, Sherrard, grandchildren; Dennis, Steven and Meagan, 6 great grandchildren and sisters Gladys Skiles, Washington, Marge Brummitt, East Moline and Betty Beene, Augusta KS.
