Obituary

A memorial service for Glenn Marvin Curler, 77, of Moline, IL, will be 11:00AM Friday at the Vineyard Church of Davenport, IA. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday (today) at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Mr. Curler died Tuesday, September 05, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to Vineyard Church of Davenport, IA. Glenn was born June 9, 1929 in Dubuque, IA, the son of Fred and Margaret (Coonfare) Curler. He married Gladys M. Mills in 1954. He later married Karen (Humberstone) Tebbe in 1975. She died May 04, 2006. Glenn was an amateur wrestler, named "Spider". During the 1970's he and his friends opened for professional wrestling events locally. He had worked as a transit operator for Metrolink of the Quad Cities for nearly 21 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Survivors include: daughters and son-in-law, Terry and Mark Eickhoff of Davenport, IA, Kathleen Armstrong of Davenport, IA,; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Renee Curler of Davenport, IA, David and Lesa Curler of Davenport, IA, Alan and Linda Curler of Bedford, TX; daughter-in-law, Betty Curler of Dubuque, IA; stepdaughters and son-in-law, Michelle Tebbe of Ellensburg, WA, Melissa Tebbe of Winter Springs, FL, Mindy and Mike Wells of Taylor Ridge, IL; grandchildren, Joshua Witt, Justin Witt, Janeen Mack, Courtney and Christopher Armstrong, Dave Curler Jr., Olivia, Kylie, and Mikayla Wells, Jimmy and Roger Curler, and Denise Switzer; sisters and brother-in-law, Patricia and Bruce Crossett Mexico, NY, Arlene Grimstad of Moline, IL, Carol and Scott Johnson of Marshall, WI; brothers, Robert "Bobby" Fondell of Dubuque, IA, Francis "Junior" Elliot of Dubuque, IA, Bill Elliot of Cedar Rapids, IA,.
