Obituary

Glenn Joseph Hickson, 67, East Moline, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Trinity at Terrace Park, Bettendorf. Funeral services are 11 AM Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM Saturday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Otter Creek, IA at a later date.

Glenn was born on September 2, 1954 in Dubuque, IA, the son of Allan and Kathleen (Hayes) Hickson. He graduated from Maquoketa High School. Glenn was self-employed, painting locally as well as in Arizona, Texas and California. Most recently he worked for Home Instead. Glenn was an accomplished self taught pianist. He played at several area night clubs, events and nursing homes.

Survivors include his siblings; Sandy Lawler, West Branch, IA, Deacon Bill Hickson, Dubuque, Ann (Kevin) Allen, Evans, CO, David Hickson, Otter Creek, IA and Jean (Glenn) Short, Maquoketa and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
