Funeral services for Gloria Zaragoza, 92, East Moline, 10AM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Entombment is at St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation is 2-5PM Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. Gloria passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Genesis Illini Campus, Silvis, surrounded by her loving family. Gloria Cedillo was born August 10, 1924 in Davenport, IA to Salvador and Andrea Cedillo. She was united in marriage to Joseph Zaragoza on April 21, 1950, in East Moline. Gloria graduated from United Township High School class of 1943. She worked for Eagle Foods in East Moline, for many years overseeing the non-foods portion of the store, and retired after 27 years. Gloria was the President of the PTA at DB Hoffman, and was an English as a Second Language tutor for students at Glenview School. Gloria enjoyed taking her family on extended road trips and went everywhere having her children and grandchildren navigate by map. She was a faithful servant of the Lord, and she was a member of the First Assembly of God parish in East Moline. She will always be remembered for her unconditional love of her family. Survivors include, her sister, Cassie Ward, California, and Brother Victor (Angie) Cedillo, Cedar Rapids, Children and spouses, Henry and Sue Zaragoza, Silvis, Thomas and Barbara Zaragoza, Rapids City, Judith and Van Garrett, Moline, Juan and Tresa Zaragoza, New London IA, grandchildren, T.J. (Beth) Zaragoza, Rachel Jeffries, Jennifer (Kevin) Glackin, Paul Michael Soliz, Stephen (Keri) Soliz, Jason Zaragoza, Jessica (William) Zaragoza, Christopher Zaragoza, Kasandra, Victoria and Carleen Zaragoza; Great Grandchildren, Jonathon, Morgen, Lillian, Emilio, Elaina, Hahnah, Analicia, Margot, Grayson, Austin, and Kirstin. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, her son David, her parents, her sisters Nellie and Delores and her brother Tony. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Memory Care Unit staff at Hope Creek Care Center for their love and support.
