Funeral services for Grace C. DeMeyer, 94, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00AM Monday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Monday at the church. Mrs. DeMeyer died Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Trinity, Rock Island. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church, where she had been a member. Grace Vyncke was born November 12, 1919, in East Moline, the daughter of Hector and Tillie Neels Vyncke. She married Marcel "Jim" DeMeyer September 3, 1938, in East Moline. He died December 14, 1992. Grace had worked various jobs over the years to help put her daughters through Catholic Schools. She loved to garden and had made many quilts for her family. Survivors include her daughters, Marge (Ron) Clevenger, Silvis, IL, Joyce Charlson, East Moline, Nancy (Steve) Trego, Indianapolis, IN, and Betty DeMont, East Moline; 18 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; sister, Vivian Versheure, East Moline. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; great grandson, Christopher Barrett; great great grandchildren, Christopher Michael Paprocki and Allison Paige Sharp; son-in-law, Dwight DeMont.
