Funeral services for Grace C. Malcolm, 90, East Moline, are 10 AM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 5-7PM Thursday at the funeral home. Grace died Monday, August 25, 2008 at Forest Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation, East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association. Grace was born March 5, 1918 in East Moline, the daughter of John and Faye (Millett) Miller. She married Ward Malcolm on June 8, 1950. They later divorced. Grace had worked at the Stage Stop at Highland Park Bowl, Moline and later did food demos at various grocery stores for Marketing Unlimited. She had an incredible work ethic and a great love and devotion to her son and grandchildren. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Wade and Lydia Malcolm, Moline, grandsons: Dr. Andy and Andrea Malcolm, Belvidere, IL, Anthony Malcolm, Chicago Scott Malcolm, Fenton, MO, Manuel Malcolm of Phoenix, AZ and Amanda Acosta Phoenix, 7 great grandchildren: and a brother John Miller of Albany, IL. She is preceded in death by her brothers Jean Miller and LeRoy Miller.
