Funeral services for Grace E. Versypt, 92, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00 AM Saturday, at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline, IL. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM. Mrs. Versypt died Monday, January 23, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island, IL. Memorials maybe made to the Monsignor Cleary Endowment Fund or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Grace Lenc was born October 21, 1913 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Frank and Emma (Pihera) Lenc. She married Andre J. Versypt November 5, 1938 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. He died July 9, 1991. She had been a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, National Catholic Society of Lady Foresters, and the St. Anne Guild. Grace enjoyed playing cards, especially Bridge and 500, which she played several times a week until about a month ago. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Bill Tiernan of East Moline, Joanne De Coster of Bettendorf, IA; son and daughter-in-law, John and Janet Versypt of Cordova, IL; grandchildren and spouses, Michael Tiernan of East Moline, Molly and P.J. Foley of Rock Island, IL, Brian and Darcy De Coster of Iowa City, IA, Jeff and Kristi De Coster of Bettendorf, Jane and John Engelhardt of Waukee, IA, Kevin and Tricia De Coster of West Des Moines, IA, Jennifer Versypt of Cordova, IL, Joel Versypt of Cordova; 7 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Robert Diehl of Moline, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Joseph Versypt; twin sister, Mildred Odean; brothers, George and Robert Lenc.
