Funeral services for Gregory J. Weintraut, 61, of Coal Valley, IL, will be 10:00AM Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, IL. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mr Weintraut died Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Trinity Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Greg was born November 19, 1951 in Richmond, CA, the son of Donald and Eva Kofsky Weintraut. He married Kathee Vretis June 19, 1982 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Rock Island. He worked as a Financial Representative for Modern Woodmen of America, Rock Island for 30 years. Survivors include his wife, Kathee Weintraut, Coal Valley; Sons, Michael Weintraut, Tempe, AZ, and Samuel Weintraut, Coal Valley; his mother, Eva Weintraut, East Moline; sisters, Janet (Jim) Michaelsen of Tempe, AZ, Elizabeth Morrissey, Moline, IL, Barbara (Ronald) Zbleski of Chicago, IL; brothers, Eric (Patty) Weintraut, East Moline, Marc Weintraut, Lufkin, TX, Philip (Kerry) Weintraut of New Orleans, LA; several nieces and nephews.
