Funeral services for Gretta M. Somner, 82, of Moline, IL, will be 11 am Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rapids City Cemetery, Rapids City, IL. Mrs. Somner passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at UnityPoint, Rock Island, IL.

Gretta Abbott was born October 01, 1938, in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Luther "Marvin" and Dorothy (Lynn) Abbott. She retired in 1992 from International Harvester, East Moline.

She loved her grandchildren and would always say: "Give me a hug and a peck around your dirty neck".

Survivors include her children, Debra (David) Morris, Aldrich, MO, Darrell Drehman, Rock Island, Dana (Lee) Mooney, East Moline, and Dorothy (Kelby) Harris, Adair IA; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister, Sharon Watermeulen, Strasburg, CO; and sister-in-law, Barbara Abbott Geneseo, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son Douglas Allen Drehman; infant daughter; Robin Linn Drehman; sister, Joann Abbott; and brother, Larry Abbott.
