Funeral services for Gustav Breitmeyer, 95, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Christ The King Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL, where a rosary will be recited at 4:00 PM. Mr. Breitmeyer died Sunday, February 26, 2006 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline or to a favorite charity. Gustav was born February 12, 1911 in Ostrow, Poland, the son of Jakob and Marianna (Ottenbreit) Breitmeyer. He married Julia Staciaczek, November 25, 1935 in Lvov, Poland. She died April 1, 1991. He retired in 1973 from Roth Pump Company, after 19 years of service. Gustav was a loving grandfather, who loved being with his family. He enjoyed playing cards and gardening. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Rudolf and Marylin Breitmeyer of Peoria, IL, Otto and Mary Breitmeyer of East Moline, IL, Bruno Breitmeyer of Huston, TX; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Alicia Breitmeyer; son, Alex Breitmeyer; grandson, Daniel Breitmeyer; 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.
