Harlan E. Jewell Sr., 73, Moline, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Memorial services are 2 PM Saturday at Grace Bible Missionary Church, 1535 36th Ave., Moline Visitation is from 12 Noon until service time. Memorials may be made to the family. Harlan was born on November 6, 1943 in Sabula, IA, the son of Luther and Bessie (Shepard) Jewell. He married Bonnie McWilliams on July 29, 1978 in Rock Island. He worked for the Moline Dispatch and most recently at Xpac, Milan. He was an avid musician, enjoyed camping, fishing, rollerskating, volunteering for the food pantry at Grace Bible Missionary and dearly loved being with his family. Survivors include his wife Bonnie, children, Joe (Jenny) Jewell, DeWitt, IA, Garry (Noel) Halsted Jewell, Rock Island, Michelle (Kevin) Bergeson, Colona, Corey (Theresa) Jewell, Albany, IL, Katherine Jewell, Moline and Harlan Jewell Jr., Moline, 27 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and a sister, Gloria Reyes, Moline.
