Harold W. Barrett, 73, Hampton, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at his home. There will be no services. Harold was born May 9, 1939 in Cedar Rapids, IA, the son of Earl and Mazy Barrett. He married Mary Thaxton on December 24, 1998 in Port Byron. Harold was a carpet layer by trade, last working at Dave's Floor Trends, Davenport. Mr. Barrett loved the game of golf, watching NASCAR, and working in his yard. He had a fun loving personality and enjoyed his life. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife Mary, children, Greg (Jody) Hancock, Lake Mary, FL, Tracie Barrett, Pensacola, FL and Tracie (Chad) Witte, Kewanee, IL five grandchildren and a step-son Scott (Pam) Thaxton, East Moline.
